SPRING GLASS CLASSES:
Spring is ramping up at the db Studio & Gallery with a great variety of glass classes to tickle your fancy at every skill level. We’re excited too regarding Richard Parrish returning with his glass tapestry class as this is a favorite and well-attended Guest Artist set of sessions.
If you’re looking to go deep into technique, this is a must attend series.

KILN CARVING EASTER EGG
Create your own unique piece commemorating Easter, 2014
Thursday April 17th
FREE DEMO 6-6:30pm. Deborah will demonstrate the principles of kiln carving in this Technique Thursday session.
Open Studio to follow in which the participants may choose to purchase the materials for an 8X8 piece including:
• 1-prefired 8X8 two layer piece of glass in a selection of spring colors
• Fiber paper
• 3 firings–the third firing is optional as the customer may wish their piece to be an art piece
• Open studio time is included
• An Easter egg pattern will be available but participants may bring their own pattern in dimensions must not exceed 6″ x 6″
COST: $75 pp Includes Open Studio time, tools and our glass allocation that you will need for this project.

Create your own unique present for Mom!
In our “Make It and Bake It” program you can assemble glass pieces
into bowls, plates, coasters or pendants.
Leave your work of art to be fired twice: once flat
and once into the desired shape.
Please allow one week. All assembly done during open studio hours.
$20 per person includes studio & class time, instructor guidance, tools and our glass allocation that you will need for this project.
You’ll need to work on your Mother’s Day project during Open Studio hours:
Weekly Open Studio:
Tuesdays: 4p – 8p
Thursdays: 6p -8p
Saturdays: 10a – 2p
Sundays: 10:30a-2p
You will need to complete your project by 5/2 in order that we can fire your piece and have it ready for pick-up by 5/7 in time for Mother’s Day

FIRST GLASS FUSING CLASS
Perfect for a beginner, but a great refresher course as well.
- You’ll learn glass cutting techniques and the basics of glass fusing
- End result: Your very own 8″ x 8″ Glass Sushi/Serving Plate
- Groups of 4 or more can call to set up a team event.

Richard Parrish’s Tapestry Bowls Trays and Wall Panels are widely recognized for their intricate patterning and coloration.
Must attend all four Sessions!




World Class Glass Artist Richard Parrish is a designer of kilnformed glass and lives in Bozeman, Montana. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. His work was selected for the Corning Museum of Glass’s New Glass Review 27, and he was awarded the American Craft Council Award of Achievement in 2003.

DESIGNING & USING PARTS SHEETS
On Day One of this class students will use frits, confettis and stringers to create three part sheets; custom pieces of glass that are incorporated into the design of larger future pieces.
On Day Two students will combine their part sheets with other glass materials to create three unique pieces. There will undoubtedly be extra part sheets to be used in future works.
May 13, 14 & 15 — 6:30p – 8:30p Reservations necessary.
*Two-Day class (must attend BOTH days)

GLASS BEAD MAKING CLASS with MARIE TAYLOR
As you can imagine, you will dive deep into the world of bead making with this class. Marie Taylor is the artist, your instructor and docent into the multifaceted world of bead making.
